We recently came across a brand which looks very promising indeed; YOUNG LOVERS. You may or may not have heard of them, but they have some very nice t-shirts indeed (and an equally pleasing-to-the-eye website). Our personal favourite is ‘Vampire Meets the Hound’, which mixes a wicked black & white lightningbolt-esque pattern with images of vampire fangs (pictured in this post).
Created to oppose the movements of the un-radical majority, Young Lovers celebrates the madness of midnight love and all that surrounds it.
Young Lovers is for the sleepless ones who dare to not follow.
It is the Young Lovers who will take over the city by night.
We like how this sounds! Prints seem to be limited to 100, which is very nice, and mostly available only in mens (unfortunately enough for our readers of the fairer sex). However, select designs are printed in the very limited quantity of 20 for women.
Tees are $59AUD each, which works out at about £30 or $50USD at the current exchange rate, although YOUNG LOVERS are presently moving to a US headquarters which may affect pricing.
Check them out at youngloverslabel.com

Sorry for the lack of activity over the weekend! We’re now resuming good ol’ normal service, and to kick it off here’s the tee of the day for the 10th August 2009.
And that special t-shirt design is “Sliding Shapes” by Kneedeepinsleep. A very cool indie t-shirt brand which we recently published a feature on here. We love the mish mash of shiny foil, geometric shapes and abstract design which makes for a stunning shirt.
The print is limited to a run of 100 and costs £25 (about $40USD), so grab yours while you can! This has to be our favourite tee in the current lineup so we’re going to be getting hold of ours as soon as possible, we don’t ever want to file this one under reprint lust!

My heart just sunk when I saw that this amazing t-shirt by Christopher David Ryan at the Threadless Select store was sold out in all mens sizes. I just prey that it’ll be reprinted at some point, becuase it’s possibly one of the most awesome shirts I’ve seen in a while.
Take a look at it on the Threadless Select store and, unless you’re of the female gender, prepare to be disappointed. I’m off to go find a corner to sob in now.

Thread Rave, in it’s current form, is very different from how we originally envisioned our shiny new website. In fact, when we first started brainstorming the site back in April we wanted to create something very similar to Digg (a social bookmarking website). We even started to build it, but it was never meant to be. There are a couple of reasons for this:

Todays t-shirt of the day is the Night Watcher tee by Heroine Clothing. This black unisex tee features a large print of an owl and is pretty eyecatching. It’s a really awesome garment, so you should take a look at it over in the Heroine Clothing online store.
If you dig our new TOTD feature, then follow us on Twitter to receive updates on new content and exclusives directly to your eyeballs!
For todays t-shirt of the day, we have selected Glamour Kills’ “Revolution of a generation”; a grey t-shirt by Glamour Kills with a very nice typographic print. You can find it in the Glamour Kills store here for the price of $24.99 (a sweet £15).

Kneedeepinsleep, as some of you will know, is a clothing brand which focuses on the core principles of quality and exclusivity. Despite being founded two years ago, business has only very recently picked up for KDIS, with a flurry of attention on the web and interest from a stateside musician. Headed up by artist and photographer, Ben Thomas, the brand is perhaps a very good representation of what many designers set out to achieve when they begin their own brands. We sent Ben some questions, and were fortunate enough to receive some great responses from him. Read the interview after the break. Continue reading →
Yesterday saw the launch of the new EIO website and sister brand ‘Rakes & Strays’. The new website is very similar to the old one, running on the Magento eCommerce system, with the big difference being the introduction of the ‘Rakes & Strays’ tab.
On first look, the name and logo seem like they should belong to a high end suit tailor or gentlemens clothing brand, however most of the garments on the site look like they’d be more at home under the EIO label. The designs are very similar, if a little less cutting edge, to the current EIO line; and one has to doubt what the merits of launching such similar clothes under an unestablished brand are. The Linty Fresh store has just been updated with lots of cool new stuff for August. The update includes reprints of the popular “The Most Fantastic Things” in lime and asphalt colourways and lots of new belts (eight brand new ones!). There’s also a new bundle box (two t-shirts and a belt for $50), a ‘mystery teaser bundle’, and a new button pack.
The new items are very cool, so be sure to check them out at Linty Fresh!

410BC has a sale on at their Bigcartel page in preparation for their new line which hits very soon! The tee’s available are very limited, and mostly for girls, but it’s worth taking a look at. My personal favourites are the Lunar and Space Shapes shirts – shame there’s none left in guys fit.
Thread Rave can’t wait for the new line, and will be blogging it as soon as it arrives, so keep your eyes peeled on our blog and follow us on Twitter.
